Students transforming Rice into a Violence-Free Environment, or STRIVE, is a student coalition advised by the Office of Sexual Violence Prevention and Title IX Support. STRIVE’s goal is to empower members of the Rice community to play an active role in eliminating gender-based inequality and sexual violence by engaging in a positive, open dialogue, pooling on and off-campus resources, and providing the tools and skills necessary to create cultural change.
Liaisons are assigned to colleges and graduate programs. They are specially trained students who host prevention activities and provide information about resources on and off-campus. They act as a point of contact between students, RHAs, CJs, College Government, and the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention and Title IX Support.
